AirCatalytics Announces One of a Kind Efficient and Low-Cost Catalyst System for Industrial VOC Exhaust Abatement

Carlsbad, CA – AirCatalytics today announced a new ceramic catalyst technology that is the only volatile organic compounds (VOC) removal system that is treated with metal oxides and not precious metals to provide significantly lower energy costs for industrial manufacturers.

The AirCatalyticsTM process oxidizes carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds and other hazardous air pollutants from industrial exhaust air.

After several years of research and development, the AirCatalyticsTM process provides an environmentally compatible air pollution control method that helps industrial manufacturers lower their cost of production by lowering their energy demand, while maintaining the integrity and performance of the system.

“Our mixed metal oxide catalysts represent a new cost effective alternative for the emission control of Volatile organic compounds (VOC) and hazardous air pollutants (HAP) in industrial waste air,” said Matt Huffman, Director of Business Development for AirCatalytics.

“The AirCatalyticsTM process has provided Ford, GE, Ceramatec and scores of other manufacturers with an air-pollution control system that has no rival in overall cost savings,” he added.

The ceramic and oxide structure provides an enhanced lifetime and costs less than other catalysts since it does not contain precious metals. Other benefits of the catalytic oxidation system Include:

• Energy Savings – The AirCatalyticsTM system is extremely energy efficient requiring low temperatures with up to 85% energy recovery. With energy savings taken into consideration, the cost of the system is recovered.

• Flexible modular design – Systems can be built compact for minimal footprint and customized for specific needs.

• Low maintenance – The system has no moving parts, making it virtually maintenance free. When correct operating temperatures are maintained, a minimum of 5 years maintenance-free operation is guaranteed.

• Easy Catalyst Replacement – The catalyst cabinet is arranged with sliding trays making it easy to replace the catalyst within minutes.

AirCatalytics can benefit any industrial process or manufacturing that requires remediation of volatile organic compounds and other hazardous air pollutions as regulated by the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) including:

• Ceramics Manufacturing

• Printers

• Paint Shops

• Coating Processes

• Stripping and Degreasing Processes

• Automotive Manufacturing

• Food Processing Industry

• Breweries and Wineries

In addition to cost savings, a reduction in operating temperature results in less greenhouse gas emissions and other waste gases like Dioxins.

About

AirCatalytics offers a wide range of systems for catalytic air purification of industrial exhaust and offers an alternative to traditional, cost-intensive, precious metal catalysts and thermal oxidizers.  Their mission is to provide an environmentally compatible air pollution control method that helps manufacturers lower their cost of production by lowering their energy demand while maintaining the integrity and performance of the system.
