New Fast Priming SP22 Self-Prime Pump for Chemicals

Erie, Pennsylvania USA - January 24, 2009 - Finish Thompson Inc. announces a new self-priming pump with deep-lift and fast prime capabilities. The new SP 22 Series centrifugal pump is the largest self-priming model in the line with lifts up to 25 feet and fast priming time of up to 18 feet in 90 seconds. When the pump is shut off, the unique gooseneck design of the suction passage retains fluid in the priming chamber for fast re-priming.

Powered by magnetic drive technology, the SP Series provides years of sealless operation with no leaks and the ability to run-dry without damage in absence of continuous flow. With flow rates up to 250 gpm, the SP22 is a viable option for price conscious customers considering more expensive ETFE lined ductile iron self-priming pumps

The SP Series is designed for reliability even in difficult applications. It features corrosion resistant construction, high working pressure capability to 90 psi, energy saving high operating efficiency, and up to 1.8 high specific gravity handling ability. This superior performance is backed by a 5-year warranty.

NPT or BSP threaded, flange or union connections offer installation flexibility. Multiple impeller diameters (impeller trims available every 1/8") provide broad hydraulic coverage. The SP Series mounts to NEMA and IEC motor frames and is ideal for sumps, underground storage tanks, rail cars, and piping systems that tend to have trapped or entrained air.

Finish Thompson Inc., an ISO 9001 company, is an internationally respected designer and manufacturer of corrosion resistant centrifugal pumps and container transfer drum/barrel pumps. Serving the chemical process industry for over 50 years, FTI also manufactures recyclers for the recovery and reuse of waste solvents and spent antifreeze.
