November 27, 2002 - Benchtop Model ZM 100 utilizes multi-toothed rotor that spins at speeds up to 18,000 rpm. Size of ring sieve determines ultimate fineness of material, which can be as low as 40 microns. Sample is collected in cassette with standard capacity of 900 cc. All parts exposed to sample can easily be removed for cleaning. ZM 100 can be used for comminution of soft to medium hard and fibrous materials with input size up to 10 mm.

New Bench Top Ultracentrifugal Mill from Retsch for Rapid Comminution

The new Ultra Centrifugal Mill ZM 100 mill from Retsch is ideal for the used for the rapid comminution of soft to medium hard and fibrous materials with an input size up to 10 mm. The streamlined, bench top mill is widely used in a number of different industries such as environmental, energy, food, chemical, cosmetics, biological, and pharmaceutical sectors. The ZM 100 easily adapts to numerous samples including: powder
coatings, fertilizers, animal feeds, plastics, plant matter, and building materials.

The ZM 100 was designed with a multi-toothed rotor that spins at speeds up to 18,000 RPM. The size of the ring sieve determines the ultimate fineness of the material that can be as low as 40 microns. The sample is collected in a cassette with a capacity of 900 cc that can be increased to 5000 cc using the optional
cyclone. All parts that are exposed to the sample can easily be removed for cleaning. Other options and accessories include a vibratory feeder, which is controlled by the mill via an interface, and a wide selection of sieves available in a variety of sizes, designs and materials.
