Rail Transport Control System Centralized Management & Remote Monitoring

Advantech, the leading global ePlatform services provider, is pleased to announce the ITA-2000 Traffic Control System. ITA-2000 is an extremely stable and rugged, rack-mount control system designed specifically for the rail transport industry. Automatic train supervision systems need to communicate with many sub-stations, and require a focused vertical solution to fit their needs. ITA-2000, an IntelŽ Atom(TM) N270 1.6 GHz processor-based system does just that, with an abundant supply of I/O connectorsand it is built with durability and reliability in mind. A fanless, rackmount (2U) design, rich I/O, low power consumption and all-in-one motherboard make the ITA-2000 the only sensible choice for centralized management and remote monitoring of rail transport systems.

Embedded and Real-time Operating System Support
ITA-2000 supports a number of embedded and real-time operating systems: WinXP, XPe, WinCE, and Linux, and the QNX real-time operating system. The wide variety of OS support gives ITA-2000 versatility, making it adaptable to software changes dictated by business need and advances in technology. This ensures your investment is protected now and into the future. Add to that, Advantech's integrated, embedded core software services, and you have a formula for reduced time-to-market, and lower cost, which is sure to please both system integrators and rail transport operators.

A Plethora of I/O and Network Connectivity Options
To meet the connectivity needs of a complex rail transport environment, ITA-2000 is equipped with a variety of connectivity options. It features two RS-232 ports, eight RS-232/422/484 isolated serial ports, two CAN Bus and digital I/O connectors, four USB 2.0 ports, and four GbE ports. These rich I/O connections enable ITA-2000 to serve in complex rail transport control systems, providing centralized control and remote monitoring capabilities.

Single Board Design for Low Cost and High Reliability
ITA-2000 is designed with an all-in-one motherboard with onboard memory, powered by an IntelŽ Atom(TM) N270 1.6 GHz processor. The solid, single board design resists vibration, lowers cost and increases reliability. In addition, ITA-2000 supports a wide-range of power inputs (AC 100 ~ 240V (47-63Hz), DC 110 ~ 220V), and supports an internal CompactFlash card, and either a 3.5" or 2.5" SATA hard disk drive. ITA-2000 is designed with a number of front panel LEDs to help operators stay visually informed of system status.

ITA-2000 aims to reach a focused vertical market with specific needs for automatic railway supervision and control. Its features make it broadly adaptable to current and future needs for centralized rail traffic control systems. Get on board; ITA-2000 will be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
