New Case Packer Offers Both Vertical and Horizontal Packing Option for Bagged Products
(January 8, 2004 - Reedley, CA) - SWF Companies is pleased to introduce its new DP 260C combination case packer for flat and vertical case (and tray) packing of products packaged in flexible bags.
Reaching speeds up to 240 bags per minute for flat packing and up to 70 bags per minute for vertical packing, the DP 260C is ideally suited for a wide variety of bagged (polyethylene and poly coated kraft paper) products, including IQF food service and retail items such as frozen foods, pet foods, cat litter, stuffing mix, flour, confectionery products, snack foods, etc.
The DP 260C’s two-in-one compact design has a single infeed conveyor used for either flat or vertical packing and uses the same case flow direction for both packing options. Furthermore, it can accommodate multiple pack patterns and offers a PLC changeover option from flat to vertical packing via the touch of a button.
Easily integrated with SWF’s vast array of forming, erecting and sealing solutions for secondary packaging, the DP 260C’s standard features include servo-controlled motions, 4’ shaker conveyor/product settler, a bag acceleration/shingling conveyor for flat packing, an adjustable case loading mandrel and automatic case positioner for vertical packing.
Available options for the DP 260C include stainless steel construction, case turning mechanisms, various infeed and discharge conveyors, casters and extra e-stop stations.
