Cartridge Heaters Handle High Temperature Heating for Life Science & Biotechnology Applications

SUPERWATT® FAMILY OF CARTRIDGE HEATERS FEATURE PREMIUM PERFORMANCE, EXTENDED LIFE & HIGHER RELIABILITY IN DEMANDING APPLICATIONS

DANVERS, MA - November 11, 2009 - Hotwatt, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of electric heaters announce the availability of its Superwatt® cartridge heaters for demanding laboratory equipment applications. Hotwatt designed its Superwatt cartridge heaters for maximum watt density, temperature, heat transfer and heater life.

Superwatt cartridge heaters feature a series 300 stainless steel sheath of precision dimensions and tolerances to ensure tight and stable contact when inserted in end-use equipment. The swaged construction of Superwatt cartridge heaters enables efficient heat transfer from the heater. The swaging process compresses the pure magnesium oxide filler around the heating element to an optimum density, providing excellent heat transfer and electrical insulation at elevated temperatures. This means the heater element runs at a lower temperature than competitive units with loose-fill insulation and results in much longer heater life.

Superwatt cartridge heaters feature heliarc welds, ceramic caps, high temperature fiberglass insulated leads and all but the 1/8" line is UL recognized and C.S.A. certified. The robust construction of Superwatt cartridges heaters provides high dielectric strength and the shock and vibration resistance to make them suitable for life- and bio-science applications, as well as other industrial applications including plastics molding, adhesive dispensing, and instrumentation.
