Transtector Launches CPX - a Carrier Grade, High Density, 16 Port Rack-Mount, Modular Surge Protector


Transtector Systems, a member of the Protection Technology Group, today announces the release of CPX, its latest Carrier Grade Protection Device. The CPX is a high density, modular multi-protocol surge protection device for up to 16 T1/E1, Ethernet and/or gigabit Ethernet ports. CPX modules are GR 1089-CORE Issue 4, port type 3 & 5 and Level I & II compliant.and with only 3 pF of line capacitance, the CPX is optimized for signal performance.

The robust coordinated Level I & II surge protection design comprises transient blocking surge technology and high capacity gas discharge tubes, optimized for OSP environments. With a 20 kA of surge current capacity, the CPX meets GR 1089 CORE Severe Climatic Conditions and supports elements of EIPP (equipment integrated primary protection) requirements.

CPX T1/E1, Ethernet and gigabit Ethernet modules are available individually or in preconfigured and assembled chassis. CPX modules are easily installed on the front of the chassis housing in which all in-and-out ports are located. The 16 gauge aluminum gray powder coat chassis housing features dual stud ground studs. Available options also include fused and non-fused modules.
