December 11, 2006 - Model cPCIBPMC6U-ET has 2 PMC card slots mounted to universal voltage 6U 4 HP cPCI card. Bridge allows for isolation and for differing clock rates on cPCI backplane and PMC, which can operate at speeds above, same, or below the cPCI clock rate. Bridge has built in features for local address spaces, using PMC clock in monarch mode for secondary side, and operating in transparent or non-transparent modes. Operating temperature range is -40 to + 85°C.

CPCIBPMC6U-ET 6U 4HP Compact PCI Bridged Dual PMC Carrier in Extended Temperature

Integrate PMC boards into cPCI Racks with the CPCIBPMC6U-ET
o Extended Temperature
o Cost Effective
o Ease of Use
The cCIBPMC6U-ET combines features you need with simplicity and speed!

Our customer's applications frequently require rapid solutions. PMC based solutions can be integrated quickly with cPCIBPMC6U-ET. The cPCIBPMC6U-ET provides plug and play solutions for most applications. Dynamic Engineering PMC´s as well as third party cards can be used. The cPCIBPMC6U-ET design implements a new bridge to meet higher
temperature and timing requirements, bringing new features and the ability to operate the PMC side at a higher clock rate than the cPCI side. The new bridge has built in features for local address spaces, using the PMC clock in monarch mode for the secondary side, and operating in transparent or non-transparent modes. Suitable for 32/64 with 33/ 66 MHz bus operation, cPCIBPMC6UET is easy to use with a plug & play interface to the PMC site. The cPCIBPMC6UET represents a cost effective solution to putting extended temperature PMCs into cPCI environments. Quantity discounts are available.

The cPCIBPMC6U-ET is cPCI and PMC compliant (All Dynamic Engineering PMC Modules are compatible with this carrier). The cPCI bus can operate at 66 or 33 Mhz. The PMC bus can also operate at 33 or 66 MHz. (PMC must be 66 MHz capable for 66 MHz operation to work properly). The bridge provides rate matching allowing different clock speeds
on the two buses. The PMC clock rate can be higher than the cPCI clock rate. No software set-up is required by the cPCIBPMC. PMC register definitions are defined by the installed hardware. The cPCIBPMC6U-ET has signal conditioning, interrupts, supports DMA, and is a low power design for optimal PMC performance. The bridge allows for isolation and for differing clock rates on the cPCI backplane and the PMC. The PMC can operate at speeds above, the same or below the cPCI clock rate. The local oscillator can be selected when the PMC is to be operated at a rate higher than the cPCI bus rate. The PMC can also operate at a different bus width with the bridge doing the clock and rate matching. The "ET" operational range is -40 to +85C. The Front Bezel PMC IO is supported at the cPCI bracket. Partial Jn4 "user IO" supported [Ethernet and I2C] with interconnection to J2. CPCIBPMC6U-ET's power is: +5, +3.3, +12, -12V, and VIO supplied to PMC. VIO is user selectable to be 3.3 or 5V. The cPCIBPMC6U-ET has LED's and an optional JTAG header. http://www.dyneng.com/cpcibpmc6uet.html

The cPCI design is ready for all of your PMC applications. Make use of existing PMC designs in cPCI applications without the added expense of a new design & layout.

Slots: 2 PMC Slots provided
Size: 6U 4HP cPCI conforms to cPCI mechanical specifications - Eliminate mechanical interference issues. Card can be used in all 6U cPCI slots
Compatibility: cPCI compliant & PMC compliant per IEEE 1386 spec. All Dynamic Engineering PMC Modules are compatible with the cPCIBPMC6UET
Clocks: cPCI bus can operate at 66 or 33MHz. User switch to allow or disable 66 MHz. operation
Access Width: Standard cPCI byte lanes supported for byte, word and long access dependent on installed PMC. 64 or 32 bit operation supported
Software Interface: PMC register definitions as defined by installed hardware. No software set-up required by cPCIBPMC6UET
Interrupts: INTA, B, C, D routed to cPCI connector from PMCs. Slot 0 has A,B,C,D and slot 1 has B,C,D,A connections
Signal Conditioning: Secondary side PCI signals are routed and terminated IAW the PCI specification.
Power: +5, +3.3, +12, -12V, and VIO supplied to PMC.
Thermal: The cPCIBPMC6UET is a low power design with minimal heat dissipation for optimal PMC performance. The temperature range is -40C to +85C
IO Interface: Front Bezel IO supported at cPCI bracket. J3 and J5 support rear panel IO from slots 0 and 1 respectively. Please see the manual for definitions. A PIM carrier is available to support the rear IO.
LEDs: 1.8V, +3V, +5V, +12V, -12V and Busmode 1 for both slots are displayed on the bezel.
JTAG: Headers connected to PMCs supplied. JTAG pin definitions are in the silkscreen.
Speed: The bridge allows for isolation and for differing clock rates on the cPCI backplane and the PMC. The PMC can operate at speeds above, the same or below the cPCI clock rate. The local oscillator can be selected when the PMC is to be
operated at a rate higher than the cPCI bus rate. The PMC can also operate at a different bus width with the bridge doing the clock and rate matching.
