Schroff Now Offers Expanded Range of Card Guides

Warwick, RI, August 2004 - Schroff®, the global leader in electronic enclosure solutions, has expanded its range of card guides for use with both sheet metal subracks and Schroff's innovative EuropacPRO 19" subrack product family. The new card guides feature a UL94-V0 flammability rating, a tapered entrance to ease board installation, and positive retention installation clips that permit card guide removal after installation.

For non-benign applications, a screw-down feature is available on the molded card guides. For additional strength, an extruded aluminum guide, which is mechanically screwed into position, has also been added to the line.

The new range includes 160 mm and 220 mm single board computer guides, and 80 mm rear transition board guides, all available in red and gray, and in full compliance with IEEE 1101.10/.11 (CompactPCI and VME64x). The guides are customizable for specific applications using the 3-part guide, which can be cut to the desired length to suit each unique application. Also available in the IEEE 1101.10/.11 product family are green card guides with a 0.1" off-set for power supply applications.

4.4" board heights and modular disk drive housings are now supported with a new range of card guides for 160 mm and 220 mm board depths. These new card guides are also available in a 3-part construction for custom board depths.

Pricing starts at $0.52 per unit. Delivery is from stock.
