Capacitive Sensor measures liquid level through foam.
March 12, 2002 - Self-compensating proximity sensor for non-flush liquid level sensing applications, can be placed within tank, making contact with liquid, or thru tank wall of plastic, fiberglass or sight glass window. It eliminates false detection of foaming materials and filming/coating on inside walls of tank. It is IP 67 rated, CE approved, short circuit protected, overload protected, with temperature rating from –10 to 60 deg C and M30 polypropylene housing.

Smart Level Capacitive Sensor Non-Flush Mounting Style
SIE SENSORS, Inc. announces a Major development in liquid level detection with capacitive proximity sensors. A self-compensating sensor that you wire up, power up and is ready to go. Yes, No self-teach. This M30 housing operates from 10…35VDC, featuring outputs of PNP or NPN and N.O. or N.C. It is versatile with optional standard connections from 2 meter cable, PG connector, M8 or Ml2 quick-disconnect and more. It is IP 67 Rated, CE approved, short circuit protected, overload protection and a temperature rating from -10…+60° C and comes in a PBT (polypropylene) housing.
Designed for Non-Flush/Liquid level sensing applications this sensor can detect most of the toughest applications. The placement of the sensor can be within the tank making contact with the liquid or thru a tank wall of plastic, fiberglass or even a sight glass window. It virtually eliminates any false detection of foaming materials and filming/coating on the inside walls of the tank. Even in areas of heavy dirt build-up or washdown situations this sensor will not falsely trigger.
