Hitachi Power Tools Announces the 3rd Generation Cap Nailer NV50AP3 with Upgraded Design to Exceed Contractor Expectation
NORCROSS, GA., September 29, 2005 - Hitachi Power Tools today announced its latest generation 2" cap nailer, the NV50AP3. This tool has been redesigned to include even more contractor requested features ensuring even better performance and more durable results. Its lightweight design, acceptance of plastic or metal caps, tool free depth adjustment dial, selective actuation switch, translucent cap and nail magazine and 5-year warranty make this the ideal tool for Tyvek, tar paper and other sheathing installation.
At only 5.5 lbs, the NV50AP3 is over 20% lighter than the previous generation, NV50AP2. Its lightweight aluminum housing reduces user fatigue and improves efficiency. The NV50AP3 holds 350 caps and 350 nails per coil resulting in less downtime on the job. Not only does the NV50AP3 hold more fasteners than the competition, but its ability to fire both plastic and steel caps makes it more flexible as well. This flexibility allows the user to determine the cap of choice, not the cap that the manufacturer selects.
The cap nail design functionality results in an equal amount of pressure spread around the outside of the cap. This equal outside pressure ensures a flush fit of the cap to the material being held and prevents dragging and bulging. The nail exerts specific pressure to the exact center of the cap, realizing the design intent.
A tool-free depth adjustment dial conveniently moves the nosepiece up or down to prepare for flush or countersunk drives. The tool-less depth of drive makes fastening into various materials simple. No lost tools and no lost time means the application will be fast and the cap perfectly placed onto the material.
An integrated FlipFire switch lets you change nailing modes from sequential to "bump" fire without tools and without hassle. The switch is well protected in its location near the trigger. It adds a level of safety and works easily so the user can decide what level of speed and control is necessary for the application.
