Camshaft Inspection Gage Features Programmable Moving Tailstock

An upgraded camshaft inspection gage that permits fast change-over of different length parts and lets operators load and inspect rapidly is being introduced by ADCOLE Corporation of Marlborough, Massachusetts, USA.
The ADCOLE Model 1304 Multi-Headed Camshaft Gage provides parts inspection with one minute cycle times, measures 3,600 data points per revolution, and can be loaded automatically by gantry or manually. Featuring four program-mable moving heads and a tailstock with 6” travel, this gage allows parts access from a touch screen, handles different length parts, and each of the heads can move to a park position for easy access.
Incorporating an accurate headstock spindle with high-resolution glass scale angle encoder systems, the ADCOLE Model 1304 Multi-Headed Camshaft Gage permits on- or off-line programming. Menu-driven, it has dual Windows 7® computers and can measure 20 different parameters including roundness (LSC, MIC, MZC), diameter (LSC, 2-point), profile, taper, crown, timing angle, velocity, acceleration, runout, and concentricity.
