Xiris Releases Viewing Camera System for Sub Arc Welding

Increased competitive pressures continually drive manufacturers to be more productive and meet the quality demands of the market. The XVC-S was engineered to reduce some of the pressures faced by manufacturers today. The product is ideally suited for pipe producers employing SAW, DSAW, UOE, or spiral forming processes.

Out of the box, and affordable, the system features rugged housing, crystal clear images, integrated lighting, a reference crosshair with feature rich functions and an adjustable field of view. The system can be fitted to new pipe mills and easily integrated into existing production environments.

Intended Purpose:

o Provide the operator with a real-time view of the weld during the welding process.

o Provide the operator with a setup tool to position the welding torch prior to welding.

o Provide the operator with a tool to adjust the welding (position or parameters).

Key Benefits:

o Productivity: Increase the "arc on time" and reduces the setup time.

o Health & Safety: Improves the operator's working environment and provides the local view of the weld area.
