Beamex Introduces Intrinsically Safe Calibrator
Marietta, GA, June 1, 2002 - Expanding on its extensive line of calibration equipment, Beamex is introducing an intrinsically safe model of the IP65-rated documenting modular multifunction calibrator - the MC5-IS. This device offers calibration capabilities for pressure, temperature and electrical signals - including frequency and pulses, in a compact, hand-held unit that is suitable for tough field conditions.
The MC5-IS features up to 3 integral pressure modules from -14.5 to +900 psi gauge or absolute. HART® communication is an optional feature that can be installed during the initial purchase of the calibrator or, thanks to its modular construction; it can be easily added at a later date as requirements change. The MC5-IS is provided with an internal HART modem and an internal resistor that is connected to a loop supply when HART communication is selected.
MC5-IS is part of the Beamex QCAL® calibration system that consists of portable calibrators, calibration stations/bench systems and calibration maintenance software. All parts of the QCAL system can communicate with each other, assuring full compatibility between all parts of the system.
The MC5 series provides multichannel data logging up to 7 channels, and comes standard with rechargeable batteries.
