ADMET Offers Calibration and Maintenance Contracts on New and Retrofitted Materials Testing Equipment

Gives customers the option to select their own calibrator or use ADMET service...

NORWOOD, Mass. - Dec. 3, 2008 - ADMET Inc., a provider of integrated materials testing systems, today announced that it now offers calibration and maintenance contracts for both new and retrofitted Universal Testing Systems (UTM). The new service is an option that gives customers greater flexibility by enabling them to choose the ADMET service or use their own calibration company. ADMET continues to make service passwords available to all customers.

Calibration and maintenance contracts are fulfilled via ADMET's extensive network of calibration companies that blanket the United States - local companies that will provide responsive service to customers. The contracts cover ADMET's full line of electromechanical or hydraulic universal testing machines, as well as digital indicators and controllers, extensometers, deflection measurement devices, and other accessories used for tension, compression and fatigue testing.

ADMET partners perform calibration services according to the following ASTM specifications: E4 Force Verification; E83 Extensometer Verification and Classification; E1012 Test Frame and Specimen Alignment; E2309 Crosshead Displacement Verification; E18 Rockwell Hardness and Superficial Hardness; E10 Brinnell Hardness; E384 Microindentation Hardness and E23 Charpy Impact. All services are A2LA or NVLap accredited and meet ISO/IEC Guide 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 requirements.

Customers continue to have the option to forego the ADMET service contract, receive the service password for the equipment, and make arrangements with their own calibrator to maintain their testing systems.

"We've looked at providing this level of service to our customers for some time," said Richard Gedney, ADMET founder and president. "We knew it had to be professional, local and responsive. Yet, we wanted to offer our customers the flexibility to maintain their own systems. That's why we continue to provide all calibration passwords so they can choose to use their own service providers."

ADMET service contracts are available in the United States from ADMET. Further information is available at: (http://www.admet.com/formReferral.htm).
