Cables meet or exceed SCSI Ultra 320 requirements.

Press Release Summary:

SCSI NexZ0 series internal and external cables are available in 2 varieties: Micro Quick Twist (MQT) SCSI NexZ0 flat, twisted pair cable; and SCSI NexZ0 round, twisted pair cable. MQT offers tightly controlled impedance across entire cable. 120 ±5 Ohms cable is IDC compatible due to its 30AWG stranded conductor. SCSI NexZ0 round cable's shielded and unshielded variations, with VHDCI connectors, meet Ultra 320 attenuation requirements up to 25 meters.

Hitachi Cable Manchester, Inc. Introduces New SCSI NexZ0 Cable Series

Surpasses SCSI Ultra 320 Demands

Manchester, N.H. - Hitachi Cable Manchester, Inc. (HCM), a leading manufacturer of electronic, fiber-optic, and premise cable for a variety of industries, announces its new SCSI NexZ0 series of internal and external cables, which meet or exceed SCSI Ultra 320 specifications. The SCSI NexZ0 internal cable consists of flat, twisted pair cable, and the external round twisted pair cables are manufactured with shielded and unshielded variations.

HCM's new cable comes in 2 varieties: Micro Quick Twist (MQT) SCSI NexZ0 flat, twisted pair cable; and SCSI NexZ0 round, twisted pair cables. The MQT features tightly controlled impedance across the entire cable. The 120 +/- 5 Ohms cable is IDC compatible and very flexible due to its 30AWG stranded conductor. The SCSI NexZ0 round cable's shielded and unshielded variations both focus on low skew and better attenuation results than ever previously achieved in a similar SCSI cable. The 28AWG cable with the VHDCI connectors will meet the Ultra 320 attenuation requirements up to 25 meters.
