Model 2940 Large Cable Stripper employs pneumatic drive that provides power for stripping cross-linked polyethylene, Teflon®, Nylon, and other wrapped or extruded insulation. Dual-port, 6-stage cutterhead provides up to 1,800 psi of force, and heavy-duty strip assemblies feature double-acting clamp cylinders. Unit uses die-type blades, is available with tooling for 2- and 3-stage stripping, and stores up to 1,000 programs.

Eubanks Introduces New Large Cable Strippers
MONROVIA, Calif. -- Eubanks Engineering Co. announces the introduction of Model 2940 Large Cable Stripper, with a pneumatic drive that provides tremendous power for stripping tough insulations, such as cross-linked polyethylene, Teflon, Nylon, and other wrapped or extruded insulations. Its dual-port, six-stage cutterhead provides up to 1,800 psi (12,000 kPa) of force to cut through insulated copper up to 0.625 in. O.D. (16 mm).

The heavy-duty strip assemblies of the 2940 feature double-acting clamp cylinders that can grip wire and cable ranging from 0.187 in. to 0.625 in. O.D. (5 mm to 16 mm). The double-acting clamps work faster and provide greater force than older models. They provide up to 400 psi (2,700 kPa) of gripping force, which means higher production rates and greater precision.
The newly designed clamp jaws provide a better grip on wire and cable, reducing slippage, which decreases damage to insulation and increases strip length repeatability.
The Model 2940 was designed to use blades and blocks from existing Eubanks Series IV machines for processing smaller wires and cables down to 0.125 in. O.D. (3mm). You can also use strip assemblies from the Series IV machines.
It uses Die-type blades, tooling is available for two-stage and three-stage stripping, and it stores up to 1,000 programs.
