January 6, 2009 - Available in 1-2 in. diameters with ±0.005 in. CT, CO2 Cylindrical Lenses refocus 10.6 µm laser beam into line shape. ZnSE units come in round or square versions with +0.000-0.010 in. tolerance and light protective bevel. Featuring centration error of 5 Arc-minutes max, lenses have 40-20 scratch-dig surface finish and 1 fringe surface accuracy at 644 nm. Anti-reflective coating provides typical 0.5% max reflectance per surface at 10.6 µm and normal AOI.

CO2 Cylindrical Lenses Provide Focal Lengths from 1" to 30"


A line of ZnSe cylindrical lenses which has been expanded to provide focal lengths down to 1", 2", and 3" to enhance cut quality is being introduced by Laser Research Optics of Providence, Rhode Island.

Laser Research CO2 Cylindrical Lenses refocus a 10.6 µm laser beam into a line shape and are now offered in focal lengths from 1" to 30", with ±0.5% tolerance to enhance cut quality. Available 1" to 2" dia., with ±0.005" CT, these ZnSe lenses come in round or square shapes with +0.000"-0.010" tolerance and a light protective bevel.

Featuring a centration error of 5 Arc-mins. maximum, Laser Research CO2 Cylindrical Lenses have a 40-20 scratch-dig surface finish and 1 fringe surface accuracy @644 nm. They are antireflective coated to provide typical 0.5% max. reflectance per surface at 10.6 µm and normal AOI.
