Energy Kinetics' New CNG Fuel Level Indicator Works with Existing Fuel Gauge Clusters

NAPERVILLE, IL -- Energy Kinetics Inc. now offers its EK-115 as a simple, economical device that can reliably indicate the level of compressed natural gas fuel left in the tanks, using the existing fuel guage cluster. The EK-115 is designed as a retro-fit indicating system for CNG conversions or dedicated natural gas vehicles.

The EK-115's pressure sensor mounts to any standard CNG system. What distinguishes it from other units is that it does not have to be wired to the fuel guage itself. Instead, it can be plugged in where the float arm goes up to the sender or an installer can bypass the cable length and hook in where the harness goes in under the dashboard.

Small and compact, the EK-115 control box contains the dashboard interface module which reproduces the OEM sender's potentiometer resistance profile. Monitoring packages work with 3000 or 3600 psi CNG systems. Because the unit duplicates the OEM output resistance, there are no adjustments to make during installation, and existing dashboard cluster fuel guage functions remain in tact. The unit even provides a low fuel warning output.

Packaged with 1/4 NPT or SAE fittings, all components meet automotive specification, are independently fuse-protected, and carry an unconditional 3-year warranty when properly installed.

Energy Kinetics Inc. is a U.S. manufacturer and marketer of a complete line of fuel monitoring and control devices for both CNG and bi-fuel applications.
