May 20, 2002 - PC-based Vega MLM-3A CNC has dynamic interpolator processor which creates true constant rate acceleration/deceleration. This allows parts to be cut at high feed rate while cutting smooth surface, which increases production. It has handwheel and pushbutton jog interfaces, manual tapping, programmable cycles, mirroring, scaling, and tool length and cutter diameter compensation. Retrofit package can interface with both ac and dc servo systems.

ISS Announces The Vega MLM - CNC 3A Retrofit Package for 3 Axis Mills

The Vega MLM-3A is a powerful new High Speed, PC Based CNC for milling machines used in mold and die, as well as aerospace applications. This new CNC incorporates dynamic acceleration/deceleration interpolator processor which creates a true constant rate acceleration/deceleration as opposed to "S" curve or other Acc/Dec processors. This allows parts to be cut at a higher feedrate while cutting a smooth surface which dramatically increases production.

The Vega MLM-3A Mill CNC combines the manual operations that operators love, with the automatic cycles and full 3D CNC programming, this new CNC is just what shops need to rejuvenate their machines and remain competitive in today's market.

The Vega MLM-3A is easy to use and learn, which lowers the learning curve, making operators productive right away. The CNC has a host of features, including handwheel, and pushbutton jog interfaces, manual tapping, programmable cycles, mirroring, scaling, and tool length and cutter diameter compensation as well as many other features that help reduce setup time, improve quality and reduce scrap.

Additional standard features include a color LCD display, 32-bit CPU, hard disk, floppy disk, CD ROM, hand held pendant, full keyboard as well as a user friendly keyboard.

The retrofit package includes on-site installation and operator training, and usually takes 7-15 days. The Vega MLM-3A can interface with both AC and DC servo systems, which means that current motors and drives don't have to be replaced. This reduces typical retrofit costs by as much as 40%.
