Compact JJ-1 Twin Spindle CNC Lathe from Wasino - Packed with Precision

Rolling Meadows, IL (November 1, 2002) - Wasino's JJ-1 twin spindle CNC lathe is small in size, and big on accuracy and efficiency. Though occupying less floor space, the JJ-1 does the job of two lathes - and offers AA and AB operation. For further efficiency, the JJ-1 operates at a broad range of spindle speeds up to 8,000 rpm and features a large tooling capacity.

The JJ-1's SR1 gantry loader further enhances cycle times. It features a Fanuc AC servo with vertical and horizontal rapid traverse rates of 3,200 and 4,356 ipm respectively. Loading/unloading time is 5 seconds.

JJ-1 is equally effective in both stand-alone situations and when integrated into flexible transfer lines. For efficiency, a pre-engineered gantry loader is used, for loading/unloading, and a range of raw material supply devices are available. While featuring exceptionally small footprints, Wasino lathes are precise and powerful. Heavy cast iron beds with hardened and ground box ways and double sets of angular contact bearings ensure precision. The JJ-1 is built from the ground up for automation. Wasino's CNC control includes .00001" X and Z offset control capability to allow for finer adjustment of machining tolerances.

The JJ-1's spindle motor is 7.5 hp; X- and Z-axis travels are 3.95" and 8.66" respectively. Rapid traverse rates for both axes is 600 ipm.

The JJ-1 is designed for secondary operations and powdered metal, die cast parts, cold head blank and hard turning applications.
