FEMCO CNC Lathe Model HL-55/200 features solid wrap-around box way construction suited for heavy duty, precision turning of large work pieces. All mating surfaces are lined with turcite to provide wear and slip resistance. Product includes spindle equipped with 15 in. chuck, 35 hp motor with maximum speed of 2,500 rpm to power spindle, and 12-station turret with bidirectional positioning. Two-speed ZF gearbox ensures maximum metal removal at lower spindle speeds.

FEMCO Introduces New Model "HL-55/200" CNC Lathe
FEMCO Inc., specializing in high quality CNC machine tools, introduces the new FEMCO CNC Lathe Model HL-55/200. The HL-55/200 is designed to meet the demands of heavy cutting on larger work pieces. The solid wrap around box way construction is designed for heavy duty, precision turning of large work pieces. All mating surfaces are lined with turcite providing excellent wear and slip stick characteristics.
The rigid, 45-degree slant bed construction combined with precision components assures consistent high accuracies and excellent finishes. The HL-55/200 features a two-speed ZF gearbox for maximum metal removal at lower spindle speeds.
The main spindle is equipped with a 15" chuck and can be equipped with an optional 18" or 21" diameter chuck. A 35 H.P. Fanuc motor with a maximum spindle speed of 2500 RPM powers the spindle. The maximum turning diameter is 24.21" and has an extended turning length of 71.65" for longer work pieces. The 12-station turret is extra wide and employs bi-directional positioning for faster indexing times. Standard accessories include a chip conveyor and a programmable tailstock.
