CNC Controller puts MMI on Web.May 1, 2002 -
eCNC uses standard web browser for CNC MMI, networking, and Internet connections. All of company's standard MMI screens have been converted to web browser screens using HTML frames and Java applets. Built in Internet connection and standard web browser software allows remote access capability worldwide to monitor, report, download, upload, or troubleshoot machine tool. Control uses Windows 2000 operating system and is software compatible with company's CNC products.

Machinemate, Inc. Announces New eCNC Control
Fond du Lac, Wisconsin 11 April 2002 - MachineMate, Inc., Fond du Lac, WI. MachineMate's new eCNC control is software compatible with the MachineMate MM1, MM3, MM5, and MM7 CNC products currently on the market and will add to and not replace the current models. Current MM1-MM7 software runs on the new eCNC. The new control uses the Windows 2000 operating system and the MachineMate Real Time kernel. The eCNC uses a standard web browser for the CNC MMI, networking, and Internet connections. All of the standard MachineMate MMI screens have been converted to web browser screens using HTML frames and Java applets for the eCNC. The standard web browser makes the MMI screens more flexible, easier to develop, and easier to make additions or changes. Anyone who has developed web screen pages can develop CNC MMI screens. The current MachineMate controls use Visual C++ or the MachineMate Visualizer software for screen development. The current MachineMate Visualizer software can also be used for screen development on the new eCNC.
The built in Internet connection and standard web browser software for the MMI allows remote access capability with no added software and 24/7, worldwide, without an internet provider for added security. Remote access can be used to monitor, report, download, upload, or troubleshoot the machine tool. It is truly as if you were at the machine tool location.
The MMI consists of a color TFT flat screen and keyboard that can be remote from the stainless steel IPC/CNC shell. The new slim line design comes in a vertical look that is bolted directly in place and is physically compatible with other traditional CNCs. The new eCNC also comes in the horizontal look of the current MMl, MM3, MM5, and MM7 MachineMate CNC s.
MachineMate products include open architecture PC-Based CNC controls and CNC accessories to include servo motors, hand held pendants and machine tool builder panels.
