LVD Strippit Offers CNC Adjustable VEE Die for PPEB and Easy-Form® Series Press Brakes

Press release date: February 27, 2012

Akron, NY -- LVD Strippit nv now offers the Vari-VEE V30-140 CNC adjustable Vee die for its complete range of PPEB and Easy-Form® precision press brakes. The Vari-VEE V30-140 complements the company's heavy-duty Vari-VEE option. This smaller version Vee die offers the benefits of a variable and adjustable bottom Vee die to a broader range of LVD Strippit press brake models from 320 to 1000 tons and up to 315" (8.0 m) in length.

The Vari-VEE die provides automatic adjustment of the V-width in increments of 0.39" (10 mm), reducing setup time and providing flexibility for bending operations.

The Vari-VEE variable die allows the bending of sharp angles up to 50 degrees for the maximum V-width. This is especially critical when forming high strength materials because of significant spring back. The radius on the V-die is a hardened insert which is machined with LVD's patented STONE® compound curve for optimal rolling and friction reducing properties.

The Vari-VEE V30-140 is ideal for applications that demand bending of different thicknesses of materials; frequent die changes; bending thick materials with large Vee widths or different radii on the same component, as well as bending high strength materials which tend to crack while bending.

ABOUT LVD The LVD Group is a leading manufacturer of a comprehensive range of sheet metal/plate working machine tools and software solutions, including laser cutting systems, punch presses, press brakes, guillotine shears and mid-level automation systems, integrated and supported by its CADMAN® PC-based Windows® compatible software.
