New NEC Low Voltage CMOS SP4T Switch Features Wideband Operation, Internal Control Logic Decoder and Ultra-Miniature Package

Santa Clara, CA - June 17, 2008 - California Eastern Labs has announced the availability of a new CMOS SP4T (Single Pole Four Throw) MMIC Switch from NEC. The UPD5731T6M features wideband operation, low insertion loss, and high isolation. It operates with voltages of 1.8 to 5.3V and requires only two control pins, thanks to an onboard logic decoder. The UPD5731T6M is ideal for switching filters and antenna tuning elements in low power NFC (Near Field Communications) and RFID receivers. Housed in an ultra-miniature 2.0 x 2.0 mm TSQFN 12 pin package, it's currently the smallest SP4T Switch IC in the industry.

Performance features include:
Wide Frequency Range: 10 MHz to 2.5 GHz
Supply/Control Voltage: 1.8 to 5.3 V
Low Insertion Loss: 0.70 dB typ @ 0.1 to 0.5 GHz
1.0 dB typ @ 1.0 GHz
1.30 dB typ @ 2.0 GHz
High Isolation: 35 dB typ @ 1.0 GHz
P0.1dB: +17.0 dBm typ @ 2.8V
Low Current (RF off): 0.01 ľA

The UPD5731T6M is in stock and available now. To help speed circuit design, evaluation boards are also available through CEL's network of sales offices or from Mouser Electronics. For more information on NEC's broad line of GaAs and CMOS RFIC Switches, visit www.cel.com.
