Energy efficiency and safety are top priorities
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Legrand, a leading provider of electrical wiring devices and home systems, today announced the availability of its Pass & Seymour® Compact Fluorescent Lampholders (CFL Lampholder).
The new Lampholders are Energy Star compliant, reduce energy use and meet the requirements of National Electrical Code Article 410.16, which require a completely enclosed or covered lamp within a closet space. They are available with or without a pull chain.
Pass & Seymour® CFL Lampholders are perfectly suited for enclosed commercial and residential applications like closets in offices, factories, hotels, restaurants, apartments and houses. The new product can also be used in attics and basements.
“The compact size and sturdy design of the new CFL Lampholders make this product easy to install and maintain. Its durability, energy efficiency and safety features make it an important product for use in environments that had proved challenging due to their confined space and position,” said Bill Timmons, marketing manager of residential products for Legrand Electrical Wiring Systems.
Both the wall switch and pull chain Pass & Seymour® CFL Lampholders are rated at 13W-120V/60Hz and from a third-party compliance perspective are cULus certified.
The new CFL Lampholders are manufactured from high-impact-resistant thermoplastic and can be wall or ceiling mounted.
