Campbell, Calif. - Octave Systems, Inc. a leading technology innovator, recently added the 11-drive Copy Master II and the 10-drive Data Safe Copy Master II Pro 10 to its line of user-friendly, tower-style Copy Master II CD/DVD duplicators. Both units are currently shipping, and are cost-effective choices for Prosumer, Education, Government, Worship, Corporate, Library/Archival, and Audio and Video Production/Post-production applications.

The 11-drive Copy Master II (MSRP $1,549) has outstanding speed, storage capacity and construction. The unit comes in various models providing 1-11, 1-9, 1-7, 1-5, 1-3 and 1-1 duplication, and can burn up to 16X on DVD+R and DVD-R formats, and CDs up to 48X. It can duplicate standard 120mm CDs and DVDs, plus several business-card shaped discs and mini CD/DVD formats.

The 10-Drive Date Safe Copy Master II Pro 10 (MSRP $1,595) features intuitive, stand-alone operation and a convenient front-bay 160 hard drive that can be removed and locked away in a secure location-ideal for sensitive data. The Pro 10 can provide 1-to-10, 1-to-8, 1-to-6 and 1-to-4 duplication depending on the user's needs, and can duplicate DVDs up to 16X, 8.5 GB Dual Layered DVDs up to 4X and CDs up to 48X.

Both models share a number of new features: password protected user accounts; larger capacity 128MB buffer memories; Auto-Counter technology; "Fast Copy," which opens all trays simultaneously; Hard Disk Drive Partition Naming, which allows the user to name images stored in the hard drive partitions; Load and Copy, for quick copy jobs; and Copy/Reset/Speed/Source buttons for quick navigation. "Copy" allows the duplication process to begin quickly. "Test" checks the copy process without actually writing to the media. "Speed" sets copy speed. "Source" changes the master source of the information to be copied from the DVD-ROM or CD-ROM to the hard disc. Buffer upgrades to 256MB and hard drive upgrades to 300GB are available.

"With the addition of an 11-drive model, the Copy Master II line can now handle the most demanding duplication jobs," said Paul Avery, Octave's Marketing Manager.

"Additional security and time-saving features now allow users to fulfill larger jobs with confidence. The Pro 10 is Octave's way of staying a step ahead with solutions for today's security-conscious marketplace, particularly where large-scale duplication as a method of data backup and safekeeping has become commonplace."
