Announcing ESPRIT 2003 CAM Support for 3Dconnexion Motion Controllers
Includes SpaceBall®, SpaceMouse®, Space Traveler™, CadMan®, and SpaceNavigator™
Camarillo, CA – ESPRIT CAM developer, DP Technology Corp, today announced ESPRIT’s support for 3D motion controllers from 3Dconnexion including SpaceBall®, SpaceMouse®, Space Traveler™, CadMan®, and SpaceNavigator™. 3Dconnexion devices are used in a variety of industries including CAD/CAM/CAE, PLM, GIS and DCC and allow the use of both hands while interacting with the computer. As a result, mouse movements are greatly reduced leading to a corresponding reduction in discomfort, while work speed is improved.
“DP Technology is pleased to offer our customers the option of using these motion controllers for improved ergonomics and productivity. 3Dconnexion motion controllers provide ESPRIT users with a more intuitive manipulation of ESPRIT’s Solid Modeling, Tool Path Generation, and Machine Simulation and Verification capabilities,” says Chuck Mathews, DP Technology Vice President.
“We look forward to the ESPRIT user community starting to use these devices and immediately benefit from the advantages of Two Handed Power™ ” said Jan Larsson, Director of Partner Marketing at 3Dconnexion Inc. “Our devices are a very good fit for these users”.
Support for 3Dconnexion controllers is provided free of charge to ESPRIT users with an active Software Maintenance Contract. The drivers are provided as a downloadable Add-In, available from the ESPRIT Add-In Store at www.dptechnology.com. The drivers / Add-In support all languages included with ESPRIT 2003.
