AIM(TM) "ST" Module for DeviceNet(TM) and PROFIBUS®-DP Networks

Minneapolis, MN-December 13, 2002-InterlinkBT(TM) has announced their new busstop® station, which is designed for direct mounting on motor control enclosures. The module provides I/O, power and network signals to both inside and outside the enclosure.

The AIM "ST" Module includes up to eight dry contactor inputs and eight contactor outputs. These signals are accessed via the removable screw terminals on the back of the station. Outside the enclosure, signals are accessed via industry standard 5-Pin eurofast® or 4-Pin and 5-Pin minifast® connectors.

If an I/O point is not needed inside the enclosure, it can be connected to three-wire PNP sensors and actuators via the eight eurofast® ports on the front of the module. This unprecedented flexibility allows users to have a total of eight inputs and eight outputs, some inside and some outside the enclosure. In addition, the rear screw terminals provide a clean way to get power and DeviceNet(TM) signals inside the enclosure.

LED's on the front of the module provide signal status of the inputs/outputs, and station status. The address of the station is set via two rotary switches located under a protective cover. The station is epoxy-encapsulated and equipped throughout with metal connectors. Rated NEMA 1, 3, 4, 12, 13 and IEC IP67, this rugged station allows installation in the harshest environments and is ideal anywhere small enclosure I/O counts are needed.
