Intended for liquid, gas, or vapor applications from 2 psig, Opti-Gard(TM) SoLo reverse-acting bursting disk features 95% operating-to-burst pressure ratio and 3% performance tolerance. Unit comes pre-fitted with integral Flo-Tel(TM) non-invasive, magnetic burst-detection system, which is fail-safe and operates only when disk has ruptured. Standard construction is of corrosion-resistant Hastelloy®, but other materials are available upon request.

New Low-Pressure Bursting Disk Delivers Industry-Leading Performance
Erlanger, KY (December 21, 2006)-When choosing a bursting disk for low-pressure applications, precision performance is essential. Leading disk manufacturer Elfab's latest addition to its Opti-Gard(TM) range has been developed specifically for low-pressure applications from 2 psig. The new Opti-Gard SoLo, the result of a unique design and manufacturing process, is the most technically-advanced reverse-acting bursting disk of its type on the market.
Featuring a 95 percent operating-to-burst pressure ratio and a performance tolerance of just three percent, Opti-Gard SoLo offers the highest performance characteristics available for liquid, gas or vapor applications.
Opti-Gard SoLo comes pre-fitted with integral Flo-Tel(TM), Elfab's reliable, non-invasive, magnetic burst-detection system. Unlike traditional membrane-type detectors, Flo-Tel is fail-safe and operates only when a disk has ruptured, eliminating false alarms and unnecessary downtime.
The disk fits all standard Opti-Gard and Hygienic Opti-Gard holders and is supplied in corrosion-resistant Hastelloy® as standard; other materials, including stainless steel, are available upon request.
Tested to over 100,000 cycles, SoLo provides excellent cycle life and leak tightness. The addition of SoLo to Elfab's existing Opti-Gard line expands the burst pressure ratio range, providing customers with the opportunity to reduce the amount of inventory held. To further reduce inventory on site, Elfab offers quick deliveries, typically within 2 weeks.
