The MUS Series of Motors was Specifically Designed to Meet the Latest Industry Requirements

UXBRDIGE, MA - OCTOBER 10, 2006 - AC Technology, a member of the Lenze Group, announces the release of its MUS Servo Motors.

According to company officials, the MUS Series of brushless motors was designed specifically to be the most cost-effective motor in the smallest package size. The motors are fitted with high flux density Neodymium Iron Boron magnets, thus reducing rotor inertia. The end result is higher performance - higher peak torques for acceleration and deceleration.

The compact MUS series covers a torque range from 380 Watts to 3.5 kW. "MUS servo motors have a high torque to inertia ratio that allows for fast acceleration and dynamic responses," says Darrow Hanesian, Director of Product Management, and he adds, "The small package size opens up opportunities to solve dynamic applications especially where space constraints are a concern."

"The motors also are virtually maintenance free," says Hanesian, "the design and location of the thermal sensor virtually eliminates the need risk for overheating and demagnetizing."

A member of the Lenze Group, AC Technology (AC Tech) develops, manufactures and markets a complete range of motion control solutions, including servo drives and motors, clutches and brakes, gears and gear motors and variable frequency AC motor drives. Since 1947, Lenze-AC Tech has offered a complete range of motion control solutions and an unprecedented level of support. With North American headquarters in Uxbridge, Massachusetts and a global network of distributors and representatives, Lenze-AC Tech is perfectly positioned to meet the needs of customers throughout the world.
