Weiler Provides Wide Range of Stem-Mounted Brushes
Weiler Corporation offers a wide range of stem-mounted brushes designed for optimum performance on today's high-speed air and electric tools. Popular styles include wheel, cup and end brush configurations made with 1/4" stems for easy mounting in tool collets. Stem-mounted brushes are available in heat-treated steel or Type 302 stainless steel for both crimped and knot wire products. Brass wire is also available for crimped wire products.
Weiler's stem-mounted brush offering also includes a line of concave brushes for cleaning and deburring off-hand or on a drill press. The dished shape of concave brushes is especially useful when working in hard to reach corner areas. Concave brushes are available in both steel and stainless steel wire ranging from 1-1/2" to 4" in diameter.
Weiler's improved construction method for crimped wire end brushes minimizes the constriction of filaments at the mouth of the brush cup, allowing Weiler to put 30% more filaments in the brush, which results in a longer brush life.
Common applications for stem-mounted brushes are cleaning and finishing recessed areas or internal diameters; die, mold and tool cleaning and polishing; deburring; weld and carbon cleaning; spot facing; and cleaning rust, paint, scale or slag.
