NewSoft Takes the Cable Out of Cable TV - Demonstrating a Home Wireless Digital Broadcast Solution to CES 2006 Attendees

Home Video/TV Content Anytime, Anywhere

LAS VEGAS, NV (CES 2006, Booth 35658) - January 4, 2006 - This week at CES 2006, NewSoft America, Inc. will showcase a powerful new wireless home broadcast solution enabling users to experience their video and television content from anywhere in their home. Based on 802.11a/b/g technology, the new WVR 100 Analog enables users to watch their content from any enabled PC or notebook. Featuring Presto! WVR, NewSoft's versatile transmitting software, WVR 100 Analog users can also watch video programs on multiple displays around the home by simply connecting additional optional hardware video receivers to any standard PDP/LCD monitor.

"WVR 100 Analog is an ideal solution for a broad range of wireless video applications," says James Li, President of NewSoft. "Compact, powerful and economically priced, it offers home users exceptional flexibility for their home video entertainment system. But in learning and other closed circuit environments that have traditionally been restricted by cables, these locations can now broadcast and receive that same high-quality digital content when cost or location limits wired access."

Expected to begin shipping this April, WVR 100 Analog provides several powerful technologies, including unique AV broadcasting ability, seamless viewing capability, a high-performance DVD burning kernel, an enhanced MPEG transcoding process and Dynamic Transport Stream Control Mechanism (DTCM) error handling mechanism automatically corrects signals received under unstable signal environments ensuring a smooth reception.

Comprised of a hardware digital video transmitter and NewSoft's Presto! WVR software, WVR 100 Analog supports MPEG 1/2 recording (MPEG 4 encoder optional), enabling users to record their content to either a hard drive or DVD for later review.

WVR 100 Analog Includes:

o NewSoft's Presto! WVR for video recording and editing

o Time-shifting capability
