Symcoat Announces the Addition of Bright Dip Anodizing
Bright Dip is a chemical polishing process that brightens and enables bold coloring of aluminum primarily for cosmetic applications. Bright Dip leaves no deposit on the surface of the part. In addition, anodizing the product after bright dipping will protect the metal against corrosion, fading and scratching. Bright Dip anodized products can be clear or dyed in a wide variety of colors.
Providing a micro-polished finish, Bright Dip is an excellent process for enhancing the glossy appearance of aluminum.
Many industries use the Bright Dip process to enhance their products, including:
Aftermarket automotive parts
Light reflectors and frames
Appliances
Architectural trim
Safety and Recreational goods such as flashlights
Sporting goods (baseball bats, paintball guns and tennis rackets)
Industrial and Military products
How does Bright Dip work?
Bright Dip is a chemical polishing process. The solution used for Bright Dip is a mixture of phosphoric and nitric acids. Chemical analysis is performed frequently to keep the proper operating range.
On what types of aluminum can Bright Dip be used?
Not all aluminum alloys are suitable for bright dipping. Generally, the following aluminum alloys are suitable for Bright Dip and used for these products:
1100 and 3002 Light reflectors *
5000 series Automotive Trim
6061 Machine Parts
6063 and 6463 Extrusions, Shower Doors, Window Frames
7000 series Baseball bats

Perfect
This is good news. So many surfaces can get scratched up and are hard to repair. This tech will allow the alloys to remain like new!
