Comapany Expands Footwear Line for Construction Workers, Contractors
NELSONVILLE, Ohio - Georgia Boot's exclusive SPR(TM) leather has become a trusted barrier for construction workers between their feet and industrial chemicals and acids. The specially-tanned leather is three times stronger and two-and-a-half times more abrasion-resistant than conventional leathers, making it resistant to many harmful materials commonly found in construction and industrial environments.
The company is now offering a new style featuring SPR leather in its 2005 line with the addition of a men's chukka (GB1222.)
"We've always had SPR boots in six and eight-inch models and Wellingtons," said Lee Lemon, vice president of sales. "The addition of the chukka was in response to what we were hearing from consumers. They want a more comfortable footwear option that is still sturdy and will protect their feet from chemicals. The chukka wears more like a shoe but it's still very tough."
