AERCO Enhances Low NOx Line of KC1000 Boilers and Water Heaters

High-Efficiency Products Now Support Sealed Combustion and Dual Fuel Applications

Northvale, NJ (January 16, 2007) - AERCO International, Inc., a leading supplier of commercial boilers and water heating products, has enhanced its low NOx line of KC1000 high-efficiency boilers and water heaters. The one million BTU/hr. condensing units which deliver unmatched turndown while maintaining an environmentally-friendly profile, now support sealed combustion and can be configured to support dual fuel (natural gas or propane) applications. These product improvements increase system design options for facility owners and managers seeking long-term fuel savings in a low NOx environment.

Going forward, any new Low NOx KC1000 boiler or water can be installed with sealed combustion in all climates. As an added benefit, the units will not require seasonal combustion air recalibration in those applications where ambient air temperatures remain between -30°F and +130°F. The Low NOx KC1000 boiler and water heaters will be shipped with a replacement spring for the unit's differential regulator that also supports a switch from natural gas- to propane-fired operation (or vice versa). Using natural gas, the units maintain low NOx emissions over their entire 11:1 operating range. Whether a unit is initially configured for natural gas or propane, the part retrofit and combustion air recalibration can be performed in a matter of minutes.

"Sealed combustion and dual-fuel operation have always been strong selling features for our standard KC1000 and Benchmark lines," said Christian Zapata, AERCO product manager. "Over the past 18 years, as the size of mechanical rooms shrinks and the price of natural gas skyrockets, these options have become even more popular! We're pleased to finally offer these capabilities to environmentally-sensitive customers who are committed minimizing NOx emissions."

AERCO first introduced a low NOx burner package for its long-selling KC1000 brand in 2003 to meet emerging emissions control requirements. The units are certified by The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) and The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to deliver <30 ppm of NOx corrected to 3% of excess air over an operating range of 90,000 BTU/hr. to one million BTU/hr.

Low NOx KC1000 boilers and water heaters are energy efficient, quiet and cost effective to operate in commercial and industrial environments. Their condensing design eliminates secondary piping and their unmatched 11:1 turndown supports tight temperature control and a greater range of non-cycling operations for exceptional seasonal efficiency. Each unit occupies only a 78"H x 22"W x 57"D footprint and can be used in single unit or in modular arrangements for inherent standby with minimum space requirements. Both boilers and water heaters incorporate easy-to-use, advanced control software that integrates with BAS/EMS systems and can be accessed remotely.
