Apcon Introduces T1, E1, J1 Blade

New Blade Is Ideal For Testing Signal Breaks And Router Stress

Portland, Ore. - Feb. 25, 2004 - APCON, Inc., a leading manufacturer of physical layer switching solutions for networks, introduced a T1, E1, J1 blade for its modular IntellaPatch physical layer switch system. The T1 blade is a welcome addition to the IntellaPatch family, which already allows network professionals to work with a variety of protocols including, Fibre Channel, Ethernet, and SONET.

Building Equipment Resiliency
The T1, E1, J1 blade allows network management engineers to run interoperability and automation tests on T1 equipment, as well as the European (E1) and Japanese (J1) standards. For example, engineering professionals can utilize the T1 blade to simulate specific carrier signal breaks and monitor the effect they produce on front-end equipment. In addition, the blade's multicasting abilities are well suited for conducting stress tests on routers and analyzers. The eight port blade supports T1, E1 and J1 line interfaces, selectable on a port-by-port basis and the 1:N, point-to-point connectivity offers superior versatility when testing broadcast topologies.

"The T1 introduction is an excellent example of APCON's ability to quickly meet market demands with leading-edge technology," said Richard Rauch, President and CEO of APCON, Inc. "With its modular blade design, the IntellaPatch layer-1 solution continues to validate itself as the premier network test system available today."

All IntellaPatch blades are supported by advanced management and control software to simplify difficult test sequences. In addition, APCON products are backed by the finest technical and customer support team in the industry.
