Ricoh Launches the Aficio SP 8100DN
Ricoh Delivers Versatile, Efficient Printing Solution for Intensive Document Management Needs
WEST CALDWELL, N.J., Sept. 6 // -- Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, today launched the Aficio SP 8100DN, a high-speed, black and white network printer for demanding printing environments. The Aficio SP 8100DN streamlines document workflow with advanced document management utilities, superior connectivity and security features, as well as flexible printing options.
Since time is of the essence in these environments, the Aficio SP 8100DN expedites the printing process with the ability to produce 45 pages per minute (ppm) with a first time print speed of six seconds or less. Additionally, this monochrome printer features multiple paper trays that can store various sizes of paper and has an overall capacity of 3,550 sheets. With these features, users are guaranteed uninterrupted printing.
Extended connectivity and PDF Direct Print capabilities also contribute to the Aficio SP 8100DN's rapid production abilities by lessening network traffic. For the user's convenience, the printer is also equipped with Ricoh's Refined Print Command Stream(TM) (RPCS) driver. With this feature, customers can store regularly applied print settings to the system -- storing them under individual user icons -- and initiate the print jobs at anytime from their desktop.

Additionally, the Aficio SP 8100DN offers Ricoh's DataOverwriteSecurity System (DOSS) option, which overwrites data that is temporarily stored on the printer's hard drive.
The Ricoh's Aficio SP 8100DN energy saving features include duplexing and Sample Print review, which produces one document set before producing multiple copies enabling users to cancel unnecessary prints and avoid paper waste.
