ViTechnology® Unveils Bench-Top AOI System at APEX 2006
Brings Full-Featured Inspection to High-Mix Manufacturing
Anaheim, CA February 6, 2006 - ViTechnology®, a leading worldwide provider of advanced solutions to enhance the yield of electronics assembly, will introduce the Vi-1K bench-top inspection system to North America at APEX 2006, Feb 8 to 10, 2006.
The compact Vi-1K brings affordable, high-performance bench-top inspection to the high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment found in North America. The system uses state-of-the-art precision XY motion control based on the company's in-line systems. The Vi-1K is the industry's first bench-top system to provide the same inspection capabilities as the most sophisticated in-line systems. The Vi-1K can identify component presence/absence, position and polarity lifted leads, solder bridges and tombstones, and provide OCV. Repairs can be completed without removing the board from the system. The Vi-1K is powered by Vectoral Imaging and comes fully equipped with the new Vision 2006 Software Suite, including Match Maker, VieWeb and Profilertm.
