April 8, 2003 - Belt-disc sanders for sanding, finishing, polishing, and deburring on metal, plastic, and wood have capacitor motors that supply extra current at start up and when running under load. Models feature belt housing that rotates from vertical to horizontal positions for sanding long pieces. One model is dual speed sander for stock removal on cast iron or other metals. Disc sizes range from 6–12 in. with belt sizes that range from 2 x 42 in. to 6 x 48 in.

Palmgren (Chicago, IL) recently introduced 5 new models of belt-disc sanders for use in shops. The sanders are for general purpose sanding, finishing, polishing, and deburring on metal, plastic, wood & other materials. Two models feature a belt housing that can be rotated from vertical to horizontal positions for sanding long pieces. One model is a very heavy duty dual speed sander for stock removal on cast iron or other tough metals. All models have capacitor motors that supply extra current at start up and when running under load. Disc sizes range from 6" - 12" depending on model.
