3500F Electric Belt Conveyor Oven

No. 832 is a 350OF electrically-heated belt conveyor oven from Grieve, currently used to cure an epoxy resin bond between a plastic frame and a glass mirror panel at a customer's production facility.

Workspace on this oven measures 30" wide x 120" deep x 15" high. At each end of the workspace, an 18" open belt zone is provided for loading and unloading.
18KW installed in Nichrome wire heating elements heats the workspace, where a 4100 CFM, 3HP recirculating blower provides downward vertical airflow to the load. 4" insulated walls are built into No. 832, which features an aluminized steel interior and exterior.

The 24" wide Chemglas 5x5 mesh fiberglass fabric conveyor belt coated with Teflon is powered by a ¼-HP motor belt drive with variable speeds from 1.5 to 30 ipm. A belt tracking system is on-board, consisting of photoelectric eyes to sense belt position and shift a pneumatically operated steering roller.

A digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors and a recirculating blower airflow safety switch are all included on this oven. A built-in side access door allows service to the workspace.
