ClearOne to Unveil Beamforming Microphone Array with Adaptive Steering and Next Generation Acoustic Echo Cancellation Technology, at InfoComm 2012

Industry's most advanced audio signal processing solution for professional conferencing applications

SALT LAKE CITY, -- ClearOne (NASDAQ: CLRO) today announced it is expanding its professional audio product line with the release of the industry's first professional-grade microphone array with patent-pending audio beamforming with adaptive steering and next generation AEC technology. The Beamforming Microphone Array boasting 24 microphone elements can steer its pickup pattern towards participants in the room and reject unwanted noise and reflections, thereby offering superb and unmatched performance for group conferencing environments. It can be configured to operate in mono or stereo mode for diverse applications.

ClearOne is exhibiting its Beamforming Microphone Array for the first time in Las Vegas at InfoComm (booth N1827), the largest trade show for designers and integrators of commercial AV systems.

"With the release of this ultra sleek product for the professional audio industry, pro audio will never sound the same. The new ClearOne Beamforming Microphone Array provides more installation options to professional integrators as it can be mounted to the ceiling, on a wall or lie atop a table, significantly reducing the height, distance and angle restraints of traditional conferencing microphones," said Durai Ramachandiran, Director of Product Line Management. "The Beamforming Microphone Array's adaptive steering automatically adjusts the acoustic parameters and beams dynamically based on the mounting orientation. It has twice the pickup range of a traditional microphone and replaces 6 to 10 traditional microphones which results in a simpler and quicker installation."

Powered using standard Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) technology, the Beamforming Microphone Array works with ClearOne's CONVERGE® Pro 840T, 880, 880T and 880TA Pro Audio mixers connected through a G-link expansion port. Up to three Beamforming Microphone Arrays can be daisy-chained per each CONVERGE Pro for expanded coverage and configuration is managed through the CONVERGE Console software.

The Beamforming Microphone Array with Adaptive Steering will ship in August 2012. Contact ClearOne sales at 800-707-6994 or sales@clearone.com for more information.
