Embedded Battery Assemblies Deliver Portable Power To A Wide Range of Embedded Applications
Rye, NY, – Announced today by VARTA Microbattery, a global leader in the design, manufacturing and marketing of an extensive variety of high-technology rechargeable and primary batteries for the industrial, medical and communications industries, is the CellPac BLOX system. The CellPac BLOX system is a design program implemented to offer OEMs a semi-custom power solution when off-the-shelf lithium ion (li-ion) or lithium polymer (LiPO) soft pack battery assemblies do not meet the design criteria. A dedicated CellPac BLOX engineering staff is specifically trained to help accelerate time-to-market and minimize non-recurring engineering (NRE) by consulting with customers throughout every phase of the design cycle. Battery packs provided include those optimized to satisfy the most basic as well as the most complex requirements, in addition to those with high or low capacity specifications.
Comprised of standard cells and PCM (Protection Circuit Module) components, VARTA Microbattery's semi-custom soft pack battery assemblies are ideal for a broad range of portable industrial, medical and data communications instruments utilizing embedded rechargeable batteries. They are frequently employed in assorted medical equipment, ultrasound, health monitoring and diagnostic devices. The batteries are equally suitable in industrial applications such as bar code scanners, measurement, control products, telecom and data communication devices.
The multi-cell pack assemblies are available with li-ion cylindrical, prismatic and pouch cells, and packaged in a soft pack design or shrink sleeve. The nominal capacity of the battery packs range from 150mAh to 9000mAh, with voltages ranging from 3.7V to 11.1V. Customers may specify wire length, connector type and labeling requirements. Devices are available in prototype to production quantities.
