1/8 DIN Bargraph Process Meter Provides Relays for Alarm or Control
Costa Mesa, CA - Laurel Electronics, Inc. announces the Model BAR Bargraph Process Meter, which fits 1/8 DIN panel meter cutout and is available with two 5A, 250 Vac contact relays for alarm or setpoint control.
The meter provides a dynamic bar graph display of industrial process signals such as 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA, 0-10 mA, 1-5 V or 0-10 V. The bar graph consists of 30 LED elements. These are available in red or green, and can be set up in an accumulating bar format or as a moving dot for position monitoring. The meter can be rotated by 90 degrees so that the bar graph is vertical or horizontal. Legible front panel lettering is provided for either orientation.
The optional two 5A relays have a failsafe (de-energize on trip) changeover output and an associated LED to show relay status. The alarm action can be set to HI-LO, HI-HI, or LO-LO. There is also a "pump-control" mode, where the low alarm will latch, and will only reset when the input exceeds the high alarm limit.
Designed for industrial environments, the bargraph meter is highly immune to electromagnetic interference. The front panel is environmentally sealed to NEMA-12 (IP54). Laurel's Model IPC splash-proof cover can extend protection to NEMA-4 (IP65). Signal connections are via detachable screw terminal connectors.
A 15 Vdc, 30 mA transducer excitation output is standard and can eliminate the need for an external power supply.
