Technoriver Releases New Version of SmartCodeStudio, a Barcode Software Suite with RFID Capabilities
TechnoRiver is proud to announce the release of SmartCodeStudio Version 2.0, the industry-leading label design, barcode printing and RFID (Radio Frequency and Identification) encoding software. Since its launch in 2004, SmartCodeStudio is not only one of the most popular barcode generation and print tools on the market but also one of the most highly regarded!
TechnoRiver has been listening carefully to all feedbacks and suggestions from customers. The new version is packed with many features to make SmartCodeStudio even easier to use while helping customers meet the complex demands of their business.
New features include wizards to help create MultiPart UCC/EAN barcode,a new 2D barcode - QR Code, advanced functions for the manipulation of data, AIMS compliant RFID Logos, creation of temporary database to store records for the printing of labels, White on Black Text, Drag and Drop of Database Fields directly to a label design and many others.
One of the major concerns that users face today is the integration of label printing with their ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) or in-house applications. SmartCodeStudio has several new features to address these problems. This includes support of the various print options and the routing of label print jobs using DOS prompt commands. With this, third party applications can now easily integrate with SmartCodeStudio through the command line.
SmartCodeStudio(v2.0) also integrates with Technoriver's SmartCommander. This add-on to SmartCodeStudio allows a label design to be split into a Template File and a Data File. The Template file specifies the layout and design of the label while the Data file provides the data for the different text fields or barcodes in the label.
With the Template file defined, users can use their own application software to generate the corresponding Data File. When SmartCommander receives the Data File, it will combine it with the Template File and generate a label printout to be routed to the appropriate printers. This brings integration to a totally new level.
