Trident Bar Code Solution Launched At Westpack 2003
Three-piece bar coding package is specially designed to optimize performance in industrial environments
Brookfield, CT. (February 19, 2003) – Trident, a leading designer and manufacturer of piezoelectric impulse ink jet products, launched a Bar Code Solution™ at WestPack 2003. The Bar Code Solution demonstrates the depth of company’s knowledge of a full spectrum of carton coding ink jet products including ink jet printheads, inks and other components.
The new Trident-powered™ Bar Code Solution is a three-piece package designed to provide consistent, high quality bar coding. It consists of an UltraJet II printhead, Automatic Maintenance Module™ and ScanTrue II Ink.
“The Trident Bar Code Solution is a comprehensive package that provides customers with premium printing performance in rugged industrial environments,” said Steve Liker, Trident’s Director of Marketing. “The three pieces of the Bar Code Solution were designed to compliment each other and work together seamlessly to deliver superior print quality.”
The UltraJet II printhead features a stainless steel construction that enables it to perform well in rigorous industrial environments. “Due to its rugged design, more than 98% of all UltraJet II printheads that have been sold since 1998 are still in operation,” explained Liker. “We have such high confidence in the durability of our printhead that we offer a three-year warranty on all of our UltraJet II printheads.”
The Bar Code Solution also features an Automatic Maintenance Module that routinely cleans the printhead. This feature eliminates the need for priming, wiping and cleaning and thereby reduces ownership costs and maintains high print quality.
The final piece of the Bar Code Solution package is ScanTrue II ink. This is an oil-based pigmented ink that is designed to be tolerant of a wide variety of different corrugated compositions. The ink, with its solid, uniform, pigmented particles, does not bleed into the corrugated substrate as liquid dyes can. It also provides the benefit of increased light fastness compared to dye-based inks.
