September 14, 2004 - Designed for general-purpose machine shops, Easy-Cut blades employ tooth design that permits blade to operate over large selection of materials. They are suited for use with non-ferrous materials from plastics, aluminum, and copper to AISI range stainless steel and tool steel. Prehoned 3868 TSS (Triple Set Stainless) blades, usable with AISI range stainless steel, eliminate need to run blade in and require no previous experience with carbide blades.

Bahco to Showcase Easy-Cut at IMTS 2004

Scranton, Pennsylvania, September 8, 2004 -- Bahco North America, Inc. will be demonstrating their bandsaw blades in booth B-6938 at IMTS 2004, held from September 8 - 15 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. Bahco's booth will feature cutting demonstrations with blades from the Easy-Cut and 3868 TSS (Triple Set Stainless) lines.

Available now through Bahco's worldwide distribution network, the Easy-Cut blade looks set to achieve a new standard in the area of band sawing by offering a single blade designed to cut a wide array of materials.

Bahco's Easy-Cut blade lasts up to four times longer than a conventional blade when cutting across a variety of materials with no sacrifice in quality. Moreover, its patented and innovative tooth design permits the Easy-Cut blade to operate over a much larger selection of materials, making it equally qualified for use with non-ferrous materials ranging from plastics, aluminum and copper to Stainless Steel and Tool Steel. For general purpose machine shops performing a wide array of jobs, this will translate into a new level of simplicity, resulting in more efficient operation.

The 3868 TSS line of carbide blades are pre-honed, eliminating the need to run the blade in, along with the accompanying risk of damage to the carbide teeth. Designed to be used by those familiar with bimetal blades, the 3868 TSS series requires no previous experience with carbide blades. Bandsaw blades in the 3868 TSS line are intended ideally for use with AISI range stainless steel.

Bahco is a world leader in bandsaw blade manufacturing, and was the first tool maker in the world to institute a truly scientific approach to hand tool development. For more information on Bahco and its products, please visit bahco.com/us.
