New Doboy B-550 Series Band Sealers Durable, Industrial Quality Bag Sealers for Fast and Precise Heat Sealing

Fast and reliable heat sealing for standard and medical applications

A full range of styles and options allow customers to configure the B-550 to meet their specific needs

High quality sealer built for long service at high performance levels

NEW RICHMOND, Wisconsin - As part of the commitment to bring manufacturers the latest in packaging technologies, Bosch Packaging Technology will bring the Doboy B-550 series of Band Sealers to PACK EXPO International 2010 (October 31-November 3; McCormick Place, Chicago, IL). Included in the B-550 series is the standard model for most industrial applications, and the B-550M that meets the additional validation requirements for medical applications. The new models provide exceptional value and versatility and are built to the same exacting standards as the company's larger sealers.

As an entry level machine, the B-550 is available in a full range of styles and options that allow the user to configure it to meet specific requirements. The B-550 is available in both vertical and horizontal formats and in two feed directions. The technology features a wide selection of standard options including emboss or ink coders, integrated conveyors, bagtop trimmers, bag counters and stainless steel construction. The B-550's fast and reliable heat sealing makes it ideal for a wide range of standard and medical applications.

Several features of the new B-550 reduce downtime. The use of fiberglass sealing bands provides superior seals and significantly reduces machine wear. Bands can be changed in minutes without tools by simply moving a lever.

Like other Bosch heat sealers before it, the B-550 is truly an industrial quality sealer. Its drive motor is the same as Bosch's larger machines and features variable frequency speed control. Its maximum production speed is 1000 inches per minute and is adjusted from the operator panel. In addition, the B-550 is durable and features a main frame of machined plate aluminum, a rugged two post floorstand as well as sheet metal and polycarbonate guarding.

Designed to maximize heat transfer and minimize temperature deviation, the heat bars are longer on the B-550 than its predecessor, allowing it to seal a wider range of bag materials at higher speeds. Full length 12mm urethane timing belts grip the bag top and provide positive timing and speed control throughout the entire length of the sealer. All machines in the B-550 line feature compression wheels to provide exceptional seals on gusseted and difficult to seal films. At the end of the process, cooling bars are a standard feature, and are designed for maximum efficiency to provide strong, uncompromised seals, that are ready for immediate handling.

"The B-550 and B-550M are truly industrial quality sealers built for long service at high performance levels," said Ray Johnson, Product Line Manager. "The B-550 series incorporates industry leading design features and technology honed over our 60 years of experience engineering bag closing equipment to meet the demanding requirements of industrial and medical applications."
