When used with rated lead wire, sheathed version meets EEC 61010-031 to 600 V CAT II. Offered in 6 colors, both units contain spring-loaded clamp that securely grips both wire's conductor and outer jacket. They carry CE mark and are compatible with RoHS directive.

Cal Test's New DIY QuickConnect™ Banana Plug Connectors are Available in Two Configurations
YORBA LINDA, Calif., May 27,2005 ... Cal Test Electronics, a premier supplier of over 3,000 standard and custom electronic test accessories, announces the addition of the Models CT3249 and CT3250 Do It Yourself DIY QuickConnect™ Banana Plug Connectors, to its growing family of test accessories. Available in two configurations and six colors, the QuickConnect™ Banana Plug Connectors are priced as low as $1.60 each, and are just what is needed for fast repairs.
The Model CT3249-# is a standard 4mm DIY plug and the Model 3250-# is a sheathed 4mm DIY plug. The sheathed version, when used with a rated lead wire, meets EEC 61010-031 to 600V CAT II. Both models have a wire conductor capability of up to 2.5mm2 (approx. 13AWG) and 3.9mm (0.154") for the jacket diameter- either PVC or Silicone.
The QuickConnect™ Banana Plug Connectors have been designed to facilitate fast repairs to existing leads or to quickly fabric new leads. They are very simple to use; simply strip the lead wire, depress the spring-loaded button on the connector, insert the wire and release the button. It is just that easy.
The QuickConnect™ contains a spring-loaded clamp that securely grips both the wire's conductor and its outer jacket. The connection is so secure that conductor wire will not stress even if the plug is pulled out by the wire alone (not recommended).
Both models of QuickConnect™ Banana Plug Connectors are available in a choice of six colors; Black, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue and White, carry the CE mark and are fully compatible with the RoHS directive.
