Baler increases operator control and safety.
July 15, 2003 - Wide-mouth Model 8043 utilizes pressure transducer, which allows operator to monitor and adjust tension pressure for each material grade using touchscreen operator interface. Transducer shuts down baler if system pressure reaches unsafe levels. Analog load sensors control conveyor feed and overload to fluffers. Baler produces bales weighing up to 2,500 lb with cycle times as fast as 9.6 sec. It features 41 x 80 in. feed opening and 5-wire auto-tier.

Wide-Mouth Baler Updates for Safer Operation
Operators can also monitor and adjust system pressure through touchscreen control.
(Bellevue, Ohio) – American Baler’s 8043 wide-mouth baler recently underwent engineering changes to increase operator control and safety. This high-production baler now utilizes a pressure transducer that allows operators to monitor and adjust tension pressure for each material grade using the baler’s touchscreen operator interface. This pressure transducer improves operator safety by shutting down the baler if system pressure reaches unsafe levels.
Analog load sensors are also now standard on the 8043 baler to control conveyor feed and overload to the fluffers. The sensor monitors motor shaft output and displays real-time horsepower load on the touchscreen. If the fluffers are overloaded, the conveyor automatically shuts down until the fluffers catch up.
The 8043 wide-mouth baler produces bales weighing up to 2,500 lbs. with cycle times as fast as 9.6 seconds. Standard features include a large 41" x 80" feed opening, a five-wire auto-tier, and a slick material tension chamber that self adjusts to materials of less friction to maximize bale density.
